A 04 days and 03 nights tour for the conquest of fine grey, golden sandy beaches and commune with nature at Kribi in the South Region of Cameroon.
This magnificent tour will take you to southern Cameroon, specifically in the city of Kribi. We will discover the Grand Batanga people and the pygmy people living in the great forest of southern Cameroon. Once in Kribi, the wonderful grey, golden sandy beaches suitable for swimming, tanning, and relaxation will be waiting for you. You will be seduced by the beauty of the Lobe Falls, the only waterfall in the world that empties it waters directly into the Atlantic Ocean.
You will be succumbed by the aromatic charm of prawns, crabs, fish and roasted meats before heading to the Ebodje ecotourism site. A beautiful surprise awaits you in Ebodje, several species of sea turtles come to lay their eggs at the dusk on the large golden sandy beaches. Canoe trips, tasting of fish products and other water products from the area. The aroma of the exotic beach restaurants is pleasant, and the urge to grab a nibble is irresistible.
Finally, you will have the opportunity to visit Grand Batanga and to commune with its pygmies’ population, one of the oldest people in the forest region of Cameroon before take-off for Douala. Once in Douala, you will be able to conclude as MARCEL PROUST that “A veritable voyage of discovery does not only consist of searching for new landscapes, but also to look with new eyes”.
Douala
Day 1: Douala International Airport - The hotel (18 km)
Arrival of visitors by flight at the Douala international airport, welcome by our competent and professional tour manager, transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
The Atlantic coast
Day 2: Douala or Yaoundé - Kribi (170 km or 281 km)
Breakfast and departure for Kribi. On the way, you will admire the small villages built along the way. Arrival at Kribi, check-in at the hotel, lunch, rest and guided tour of Kribi town with its luxurious beaches, dinner and overnight.
Ebodje
Day 3: Kribi - Ebodje (52 km)
Breakfast and departure for Ebodje. Located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean not far from Kribi. Ebodje is endowed with large beaches of fine and golden sand, where several species of sea turtles come to lay their eyes. A cooperation project for the protection of sea turtles was launched in 2006. Ebodje is an ecotourism paradise of Cameroon. Lunch and visit of the village, the marine turtles’ museum, canoe ride, stroll and swimming along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Return to the ecolodge, dinner, animation by a dance group and free night.
Pygmies
Day 4: Kribi - Grand Batanga (Pygmies) - Lobe Falls - Kribi - Douala (200 km)
Early morning breakfast and departure for the discovery of the pygmies of Grand Batanga, a welcoming people with peculiar beaches and a culture that is dominated by the sea. You will also have the opportunity to visit the fascinating population of pygmies living a few kilometres from Ebodje. The Pygmies are the inhabitants of the forest who are generally small, about 1.50 m, and whose livelihood depends mainly on gathering, hunting and fishing. They derive almost all of
their resources from the forest. Stopover at the Lobe Falls. The Lobe Falls offers a unique spectacle to the world, as its waters flow directly into the Atlantic Ocean. You can take a canoe ride to permit you better contemplate the beauties of the falls and appreciate the steaming noise that results from the blasting of the waters upon the rocks. Stroll and tasting of fresh shrimp with fried Irish potatoes or plantains. Return to Douala, goodbye dinner, debriefing, departure for the airport and end of the circuit.
